A new Detroit Zoo mobile application, available for both the iPhone and Android, helps guests plan their visit, navigate the zoo and learn more about its inhabitants. The app’s features include a map featuring clickable locations with details about each; information about upcoming zoo events; a searchable database of every animal, habitat, attraction and facility; and more. The new app retains some of the former app’s features including zoo hours, pricing information, the ability to purchase tickets and memberships and a GPS-enabled map to help find habitats, attractions, restrooms, concessions and gift shops.

Detroit-based Doner designed the new app for the Detroit Zoo. The app is available for download at the iTunes App Store and Android Market (search for "Detroit Zoo") for $1.99. Proceeds from the app’s sale benefit conservation.
