Atlantic City Ambassador and Roberts Event Group have announced that Atlantic City Ambassador will become a division of Roberts Event Group. Atlantic City Ambassador is a full-service event coordination company specializing in the Atlantic City area.
Suasion Communications Group, located in Somers Point, NJ, was awarded a 2017 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award in March for its successful public relations campaign promoting downtown Haddonfield, NJ. This is the third consecutive year Suasion has received an award from the New Jersey Travel Industry Association.
“We are honored to be recognized by the NJTIA for our work,” says Suasion President Susan Adelizzi-Schmidt, president. “It is gratifying to contribute to the success of our clients, and even more exciting to be recognized for that accomplishment by our peers.”
Borgata is already known for their collection of gourmet restaurants by some of the most well-known chefs in the business, and now they’ve added a brand-new one to their portfolio. Angeline in Atlantic City opened in early May and delivers Michael Symon’s take on Italian cooking. Symon is an Iron Chef, won a prestigious James Beard award and is a co-host on The Chew. Named for his mother, Angeline features family recipes including her own Sunday auce.
Have you read our winter issue yet? In it I wrote an article about top meeting trends. That article was inspired by a session I attended at MPI WEC last year in Atlantic City. It’s funny how things end up coming full circle, because I’ve been asked to serve on a panel in a few weeks about trends in the meetings and events industry.

Dean Dennis was recently hired as the general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, NJ.
1. What are you looking forward to in your new role as general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center?
Atlantic City’s most anticipated resort and casino, TEN, has recently announced their new executive board appointments.
“Our executive team is what makes the difference. That is why I am excited to announce our best-in-class executives with unmatched expertise and vision,” says Robert Landino, CEO, TEN. “If the question is ‘how will TEN be different,’ the answer most definitely starts with having an all-star executive team.”
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has become the newest member of the Associated Luxury Hotels International. The Atlantic City hotel has been owned and operated by MGM Resorts International since August. The 2,800-room hotel is ALHI’s first member hotel located in New Jersey.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa features 2,800 guest rooms and 88,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Event Center has room for a banquet and flexible meeting space. The Music Box has a stage and stadium that can seat up to 1,000 guests.
MPI WEC’s Atlantic City arrival began with a bang at the Opening Night Celebration on the sand. It was a beach party to remember (the flip-flops at the entrance were a definite hit with the heel-wearing female attendees!) A few nights later, Train’s concert at WAV Nightclub was a hit.
