Eden Resorts & Suites to Operate Independently

Effective Dec. 1, Eden Resorts & Suites will cease to operate as a Best Western Premier brand and operate independently. This will allow them to enhance the local experience without having to adhere to generic nationwide protocols.

The Lancaster, Pa.-based hotel announced this after completing a 10-year renovation that cost $50 million. The hotel features 300 rooms and suites, two award-winning restaurants, a cocktail lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, and an outdoor recreation complex and expanded fitness center.

J. Scott Walsh Celebrates Big Milestone

J. Scott Catering has an exciting celebration ahead—the full-service, Philadelphia-based caterer is turning 20 years old!

J. Scott Walsh, founder and president of the company, and a culinary arts graduate of Paul Smith’s College, started his catering career in his parent’s home. Then, in 1996, he opened a brick-and-mortar facility in the Malvern Shopping Center; in 2004, he moved the company to its current, 10,000-square foot location.

New Board of Directors President for VFTCB

The Valley Forge Tourism & Convention Board recently announced the appointment of Richard J. Odorisio to the president of the CVB’s Board of Directors.

Odorisio, currently the COO of the Valley Forge Hotel Management Association, is replacing Former president Michael Bowman, who is now the VFTCB president.

Leah Neumann was recently hired as the catering and delivery director for FIG & OLIVE, a restaurant with eight locations across the country. Neumann is working to expand the brand’s catering opportunities in California.

Keansburg Unveils New Website

The Borough of Keansburg, N.J., recently revealed its new branding, logo and website with Lieutenant Governor of New Jersey Kim Guadagno and other public officials during an opening event for the area’s newest restaurant—La Playa.

The branding initiative was designed to allow viewers to instantly recognize Keansburg—a square-mile coastal town. The website provides easily accessible information to residents, businesses and visitors.
