Cities that topped the organization were Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Results were based off of liking, sharing and commenting on posts. Visit Philadelphia was also ranked fifth in numbers of fans and followers.

An Out-of-the-Box Marketing Approach

The Greater Newark Convention & Visitors Bureau has partnered with 10 airports that offer direct flights to Newark to help familiarize travelers with the city.

“Until recently, not much was known about Newark outside of the airport, and our marketing department saw an opportunity to introduce a global audience to all that’s happening here,” says Michael Davidson, executive director, GNCVB. “It’s a big win for the CVB and a win for our airport partners, driving business in both directors.”
