Police Security Expo to Remain in Atlantic City

The Police Security Expo will remain in Atlantic City Convention Center for the next three years.

Also known as the Industry SuperShow, the expo features the latest products, services and technological within the industry. Items range from flashlights to uniforms, transport vehicles, forcible entry tools, weapons, crime scene investigation aids, wireless services and digital cameras. It has been held in Atlantic City since 1987.

Meet AC Signs Five-Year Contract

AnimeNEXT—the largest independently organization Japanese anime convention in the New York and New Jersey—just signed a five-year contract to host the event at the Atlantic City Convention Center.

Atlantic City to Host SportsTravel Event

As if Atlantic City, N.J., hasn’t had enough exciting announcements, one more news of note has popped up.

TEAMS ’16, the leading conference and expo for the sports event industry, will take place in Atlantic City Sept. 26–29, 2016 at the new $125 million, 100,000-square-foot Waterfront Conference Center.

Hosted by SportsTravel magazine, the event is the world’s largest within the sports event industry.

Atlantic City Announces Great Numbers

Atlantic City has announced a stellar quarter and representatives believe this will welcome even more business in the coming months.

“The key indicators show that the current operators continue to improve,” says Matthew Levinson, chairman, New Jersey Casino Control Commission. “Gaming revenue is up, total revenue is up, net revenue is up, gross operating profits are up, hotel occupancy rate is up and the average room rate is up. ”

AC Professional Named to 30 Under 30 List

The IAVM Foundation has named a local event professional a member to its 30 Under 30 Class of 2015.

The organization—a nonprofit dedicated to increasing the positive impact and vitality of the public assembly industry—honored Bill Enkhbayar, event manager, Global Spectrum at Atlantic City’s Boardwalk Hall, by placing him on the list, which centers on naming and fostering venue industry professionals in the field of venue management that are under 30 years old.  

Atlantic City Reports Strong First Quarter

Atlantic City remained a popular destination for events during the first quarter of 2015

During the timeframe, the Meet AC sales team brought 30 conventions and meetings to the Atlantic City Convention Center and 19 to hotel properties—a more than 25 percent increase from 2014’s first quarters.

Triple Play Renews Contract

Meet Atlantic City has recently revealed that Triple Play REALTOR Convention and Trade Expo officials have signed a three-year deal to remain in Atlantic City for 2016, 2017 and 2018.

The convention, which brings in more than 8,000 attendees each year, features 80 educational seminars led by top industry experts. The expo also holds 325 booths that give visitors cutting-edge tools they can use to enhance their real estate business. The annual estimated impact is more than $4.8 million each year.
