The Ritz-Carlton Debuts New Look

The Ritz-Carlton, Philadelphia recently completed a $25 million hotel renewal project. This landmark hotel is inextricably tied to Philadelphia’s past, but the thoughtful restoration modernized it without stripping the storied past. The Ritz-Carlton was originally built as The Girard Trust Company and was completed in 1908. It was designed as a reproduction of the Pantheon in Rome, and the Neoclassical-style structure features 9,000 tons of Georgia marble!

Grateful Bites catering, however, will inspire a conversation because this nonprofit café in Flemington has a very special story behind it. As the mother of a son with developmental disabilities, Karen Monroy knew that Zachary’s options for employment were limited once he graduated from high school. She began thinking about what kids with autism and other developmental disabilities enjoyed, and cooking came to mind.

For the sixth year in a row, Woodloch Pines in Hawley, Pa., has been named one of the best hotels for families by TripAdvisor. It ranks 17th in the United States, according to their annual Travelers’ Choice Awards. Their sister property, The Lodge at Woodloch, was listed the 22nd best hotel in America.
