If you’ve been reading anything to do with NJM+E, you know we celebrated our first Best of NJ Readers’ Choice awards in August. We’re still on a high from the great event, but we do realize it’s not all about us! We at New Jersey Meetings + Events wanted to take a moment to give a (virtual) round of applause to Harrah’s. The Atlantic City resort hotel opened their Waterfront Conference Center one year ago in September 2015. Happy anniversary! Have you been to Harrah’s? I attended MPI WEC there this past summer and was impressed with the modern look and feel. Did you know that when it opened, the 100,000 square feet that was added made it the largest hotel conference center between Baltimore and Boston? In case you’re counting, the conference center has a total of 125,000 sq. ft. of meeting space.

Of course, it’s not just about the conference center here. There is an Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa, a Viking Cooking School that is perfect for culinary-minded team-building sessions and my favorite spot—the tropical-themed indoor pool. I’ve been lucky enough to attend an event there and just lounge around poolside and it suits both moods perfectly. Harrah’s has plenty of dining options and the marina setting is easy and breezy, but if you’re so inclined, head over to sister resort Caesar’s, right on the famed Boardwalk.

A New Jersey restaurant boasts versatile high-end settings.

Aventri, a leader in events management software (EMS), recently released ‘The Top 100 Meeting and Event Venues in the United States’ for 2019. The company took the ten top-rated meeting and event cities in the United States and picked the top ten venues in each area, compiling a list of 100 highly-regarded spaces.

The guide identifies the two most valuable factors in attendee satisfaction as venue location and activities in the host city, followed by capacity, uniqueness and proximity to local attractions.
