• Hopewell Valley Country Club Hosts Events That are Par for the Course

    FROM THE Winter 2017 ISSUE

If you’re looking for a place to host your next event in the greater Mercer County region, look no further than Hopewell Valley Golf & Country Club. Offering the Hopewell Ballroom, the Baron Dillon Grille and the golf course Pavilion, Hopewell Valley is the go-to for events of all types.

Donna Weaver, director of marketing at Spirit Golf Management, says that it’s Hopewell Valley’s ambiance, vista and sense of comfort and tranquility that set it apart from other clubs in the area. She also makes sure to note that there are no housing developments around the golf course, another thing that makes Hopewell Valley unique.

Hopewell Valley offers complete turnkey event services, including full A/V on premise in the clubhouse for the Hopewell Ballroom and Baron Dillon Grille and full on-site catering.

The Hopewell Ballroom holds 100 comfortably for a seated reception with dance floor. It can accommodate 368 for a standing cocktail event/meet and greet reception, 262 for a theater-style meeting and 122 for seated classroom style or with round tables. The Baron Dillon Grille is a restaurant open to the public. It holds about 60 inside and another 50 when weather permits seating on the outside covered deck.

For those interested in the golf, Hopewell Valley’s 18-hole par-72 championship golf course is now open to the public to play up to five times a year before membership.

In 1927, Hilton Hotels’ founder Conrad Hilton said, "Abilene, Texas, will be well prepared to handle large conventions and please the most fastidious visitor." Nearly 95 years later, Abilene has fulfilled this vision and is excited to welcome back the Hilton family of hotels in the heart of downtown Abilene with a recently announced DoubleTree by Hilton.

Since the onset of the pandemic, event planners and venues have been finding ways to perfect the art of meeting outdoors.  From enhanced technology that allows an entire function to take place in nature to open air teambuilding activities, I’ve seen so much creativity in the planning process. A natural backdrop can be both inspiring and calming, helping attendees to make meaningful and lasting connections with their peers, while offering fresh air for a safe meeting environment.
