Historic Hotels of America and Historic Hotels Worldwide have named The Hotel Hershey “Best Historic Resort.” The Hotel was selected from six nominated properties for the award, which celebrates the historical relevance of the property, positive guest experiences, exceptional customer hospitality and service.
The Hotel Hershey is a one-of-a-kind resort complete with 276 guest rooms and 25,000 square feet of meeting and function space. The 1930s hotel is known for its refined elegance, signature service, and abundant amenities. The hotel also includes a full service spa, majestic formal gardens, fountains, reflecting pools and terraces. The property was opened in 1934 by Milton S. Hershey, founder of Hershey’s Chocolate. The Circular is The Hotel Hershey’s flagship restaurant, which boasts upscale casual cuisine and innovative cocktails.
The hotel honors Hershey’s legacy by creating a unique experience for all guests in Hershey The Sweetest Place On Earth, where guests can enjoy an innovative 18-hole putting course, Segway tours, falconry, more than 5.5 miles of hiking trails, a Cocoa Kids’ Club and more.
The Hotel Hershey is also affiliated with Hersheypark (another historical site in Hershey). Hershey founded the park in 1907 as a picnic and pleasure grounds for his employees, but today it serves as a world-class theme park with 121-acres and more than 70 rides and attractions featuring 14 coasters and more than 20 kiddie rides.
