There’s a new reason for meeting planners to choose Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. Opening late 2019, the Pocono Mountain location will reveal an expanded meeting and event space. The property will be adding 105,000 square feet of meeting and convention space, 18 new meeting rooms, additional load-in and load-out capabilities and extensive registration and client office spaces.

“Our modular meeting spaces will feature the state-of-the-art amenities you’ve come to expect at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions,” the company stated in a press release. “You’ll find high-def monitors and projectors along with superior lighting and AV controls for colorful and sharp presentations. Guests will have free access to high-speed Wi-Fi… plus ergonomic chairs designed to keep attendees comfortable.”

The new space will total 205,000 square feet made up of 33 meeting rooms, three ballrooms and ample pre-function space, all complimented by 977 guest rooms and the established amenities of the resort. Guests can continue to enjoy the world-class Spa Kalahari & Salon, complimentary parking, access to America’s largest indoor waterpark (with an overnight stay), the fitness studios and the various entertainment and dining options. Groups will find Sortino’s Italian Kitchen, Double Cut steakhouse and B-Lux Grill & Bar all onsite.

“One thing meeting planners have always loved about the Kalahari Resorts & Conventions experience is that the meeting space, guestrooms and leisure activities are all under one roof. And that’s not going to change as we double in size,” the company stated.

Located less than two hours from New York, Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Scranton and Allentown, Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Pocono Mountains’ location makes meeting there convenient and ideal for groups. Plus, with a dedicated onsite team to assist with everything from room layouts to catering to meeting objectives, planning couldn’t be made easier.

New York City offers meeting attendees thrills aplenty. Now there’s one more: a new “skyscraping” experience.

Rising 1,131 feet in the air and extending out 65 feet from the 100th floor of 30 Hudson Yards, the glass-floored Edge is the highest outdoor sky deck in the Western Hemisphere offering unparalleled 360-degree views of New York City's skyline. To make those views even more exhilarating, City Climb, the ultimate skyscraping adventure, challenges climbers to scale the outside of the building, and then lean out from the outdoor platfrom.

Temperatures are starting to dip in Seattle, but if you want to get in one last outdoor gathering before winter, consider The Rooftop at WeWork Cap Hill. Located on the penthouse level on 11th Avenue near Seattle’s storied Pine and Pike Streets, the space offers inviting landscapes and spectacular views of the surrounding mountains. Capacity: 74.  Bring sweaters and scarves!
