• IHG Announces Opening of Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan

InterContinental Hotels Group® (IHG) and LRR Holdings LLC have announced the opening of the newest Crowne Plaza property, Crowne Plaza HY36 Midtown Manhattan. As the newest Crowne Plaza property. Based on early reviews, the design-focused hotel has also already topped TripAdvisor's New York City hotels.

Crown Plaza was designed by NYC architecture firm Stonehill Taylor, the hotel is radiant with a New Modern industrial façade, inspired by Penn Station, the Lincoln Tunnel, and Grand Central Station. The hotel’s concrete columns and the five 50-foot tall cascading light fixtures are not to be missed. The common areas and guestrooms are painted with vibrant colors and structured patterns for a sleek and airy feel. Guestrooms include retractable bed lights, wireless charging

stations, an expansive work desk, spa like shower, a refreshing subway tile in the bathroom, and floor to ceiling windows.

The hotel’s destination restaurant, the Great American will serve American fare with a twist, such as salmon crudo and wagyu burgers. TGA creates an airy and posh atmosphere with 12-foot glass garage doors and an outdoor patio and beer garden next to it. The beer garden features a second full bar and retractable skylight roof. Designed for year-round enjoyment, TGA bridges the gap of American generations with their food, drinks and experiential dining.

A fully equipped athletic studio is accessible to all guests, featuring Peloton bikes, where cyclers can spin with a live trainer, Ample Woodway treadmills, and a mental wellness suit including a three-step aromatherapy kit. In addition to these amenities, the hotel is near outdoor jogging and biking trails as well as an outdoor ice skating rink.

Crown Plaza houses two meeting rooms, the Hudson and Midtown Board Room, as well as a 1,290-square foot meeting space. Located on the ground floor, guests can utilize the 24-hour business lounge in comfort and style, with unlimited Wi-Fi access and a printer, copier, and scanner all-in-one.

The 36-room Atticus Hotel in McMinnville, Oregon, opened for business this past spring. The hotel features an on-site restaurant and bar, private dining in the Atticus Hotel Drawing Room, a boardroom for meetings of up to 16 people, a business center and a fitness room. Additional amenities include Dutch-style bicycles, electric-car charging stations, rooms with fireplaces and original artwork from local artists.
