Calendar alert: The 2022 International Travel Show will take place at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center from Friday, Oct. 28 to Sunday, Oct. 30, 2022. Three days of exhibits, performances, trade-only conference sessions, and seminars will celebrate the conference’s theme—“The Future of Travel.”

The successor to the New York Times Travel Show, which was last held in 2020, the International Travel Show will open to the trade only on Oct. 28 and to the public on the remaining two days. On Oct. 28, the keynote panel on “Pandemic, Wars, Economic Downturn, Climate Change—Travel Has Been Hit from All Sides” will discuss how the travel industry can emerge from recent challenges stronger than ever before. On the trade-only day, attendees will also be able to enjoy presentations by culinary travel experts and cooking school owners at the Tastes of the World Theater, which is presented by Doug Duda, host of the A&E T.V. series “The Well Seasoned Traveler.”  These presentations will be followed by the official Travel Industry Reception, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the theater, with guests able to sample tastings from around the world.

Showtime! Here’s some news meeting planners will want to share with attendees who will be in the Big Apple in September. For the first time since 2019, the fall iteration of NYC Broadway Week is back. The biannual program, beloved by theatergoers, returns for its 11th year on Sept. 6-25, offering 2-for-1 tickets to 21 Broadway shows.
