In conjunction with WorldPride 2019, Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants will be offering special pride amenities and events at three of its locations. New York's Kimpton Hotel Eventi, Kimpton Ink48 Hotel, and Kimpton Muse Hotel have done Pride offerings in the past and anticipate this year will be even more popular with WorldPride 2019 in town.

"Eventi, Muse, Ink48 and all Kimpton hotels and restaurants are LGBTQ friendly. Since day one, Kimpton has been unwavering in its support of LGBTQ rights, creating a community of equality, diversity and inclusion. Its employee-driven culture and pioneering policies uphold the belief that all individuals should be treated with respect and receive the same opportunities and rights regardless of sexual or gender identity," says Matthew Hurlburt, area director of operations for New York and Pennsylvania and general manager of Kimpton Muse Hotel. "Kimpton was the first hospitality company to score 100 percent on the HRC Corporate Equality Index, and has earned that score every year since 2004. Today, Kimpton brings its commitment to LGBTQ rights to life through its partnership with The Trevor Project, a non-profit supporting LGBTQ youth in crisis."

The Pride offerings will be available the entire month of June at all three locations. Events include a "Brunch Out with Trevor" on June 29 from 12-3 p.m. at Kimpton Hotel Eventi, which celebrates the 50th anniversary of Stonewall. It will be hosted by "RuPaul's Drag Race" superstar Willam with performances by New York City's top drag queens. There will also be a silent auction, and 100 percent of the ticket sales and funds will be donated to support The Trevor Project.

Additionally, Kimpton Ink48 Hotel will be hosting a special wine hour from 5-6 p.m. on June 28. Drag queen Marti Gould Cummings will be mingling with guests, taking photos and signing autographs.

All three Kimpton hotels in New York City have a special offer, “The Trevor Project,” that offers 15 percent off best flexible rate and a $10 donation per night to The Trevor Project. Meeting planners who utilize the Pride offers at the hotels will be helping The Trevor Project, which provides support and guidance to LGBTQ teens in crisis. "We do not currently have any specific group offers, but each New York City hotel is able to work with meeting planners to personalize a group offer on a case-by-case basis, all while giving back to The Trevor Project," Hurlburt says.

This will be Kimpton's fifth year partnering with The Trevor Project. The New York City properties are also proud to be a part of the World Rainbow Hotel program, which exclusively targets LGBTQ travelers.

Due to COVID-19, non-essential travel was, or has been, banned for months. Long anticipated trips and in-person gatherings were canceled and people have adjusted to the new normal: staying at home and meeting over Zoom. However, states have been slowly lifting restrictions, and non-essential travel will soon be happening across the country again. However, some may not be as comfortable with the thought of traveling as they were before the pandemic.

Although several cities are opening up again, many offices are still enforcing work from home policies. As they did when Stay at Home first began, plenty of organizations are still offering webinars with insights on how to tackle the new normal. Gaining new knowledge is a great way to use extra time that might have been spent on a commute.

Here at M+E, we’ll keep the following list updated, as some webinars are live and some are pre-recorded. Please email lauren.pahmeier@tigeroak.com to add more applicable webinars to the list.
