Rams football legends Rosey Grierm Dennis Harrah, Nolan Cromwell and LeRoy Irvin along with their teammates were the first guests to stay at the newly-opened Shade Hotel Redondo Beach.

“It was an honor to welcome the Rams Legends as our very first guests at the eagerly awaited phase one opening of Shade Redondo Beach,” said Michael Zislis, owner of Shade Hotels. “We are excited to have the Rams back in Los Angeles, and it was a magical way to celebrate the pinnacle opening of our newest Shade Hotel.”

The 54-room hotel offers waterfront views of Redondo Beach and its surrounding community. The 34,390-square-foot property includes a three-level culinary building and an event space for up to 250 guests that feature a twelve-foot windows and a patio.

The Shade Hotel, located at 655 N. Harbor Drive, is set to have a grand opening in November and is currently welcoming guests.

On September 1, over 1,500 businesses across the country illuminated their buildings with red lights to draw attention to the devastation that the live events and performance art industries have faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to a survey commissioned by the American Hotel & Lodging Association (AHLA), frequent travelers feel safer when hotels adhere to AHLA's Stay Safe guidelines, which detail cleaning protocols for hotels during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Through responses to bi-weekly surveys, Global Business Travel Association members have indicated that domestic busines travel is ramping up after months of struggle.
