Associations North Appoints Angela Kisskeys and Sarah Ruzek as Co-Directors

The governing board of Associations North in St. Paul announced Angela Kisskeys and Sarah Ruzek as the organization’s co-directors. The two will take over for president, Kathy Johnson, CAE. Johnson, who served the association for 28 years, will retire June 2017.

Destination Kohler Appoints Doug Stringer as Head Chef of the Award-Winning Immigrant Restaurant

Kohler Co. has announced the appointment of Doug Stringer as head chef of The Immigrant Restaurant, located at The American Club resort-hotel at Destination Kohler.

Stringer joined Kohler Co. in 2015 as sous chef of Riverbend, where he oversaw all facets of kitchen operations, purchasing, food cost management, staffing, menu design, and overall leadership. He has over seven years of fine dining and hospitality experience. In his new role, he will oversee the development and creation of culinary programs.

Visit Bucks County Announces Tourism Awards

In conjunction with National Travel and Tourism Week, yesterday, Visit Bucks County handed out awards during its Travel & Tourism Annual Awards breakfast.

The program honors industry employees and organizations for their accomplishments, service and leadership. The awards included Hospitality Leadership Award, Guest Excellence Award, Community Service Award and the Rising Star Award.

Meet Erica Peitler, Leader of the Pack

Erica Peitler was a bit of a wonder drug for the pharmaceutical industry. “Captivated by how drugs work,” Peitler began her career as a pharmacist before transitioning to marketing and brand management roles at several pharmaceutical giants. While she seamlessly ran multimillion-dollar divisions, Peitler was especially known for her ability as a transformational change agent. She was the one to bring in when a company or division was veering off course.
