October is the month of fall color viewing, pumpkin picking, and pizza. Yes, October is National Pizza Month, and if you’re looking to commemorate the occasion, head to New Jersey.

Others may disagree—let’s make that, others will certainly disagree—but last year Food & Wine Magazine named New Jersey the best pizza state in America, followed by Connecticut and New York in the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, respectively. Pennsylvania landed in seventh place and Massachusetts nabbed 10th place.

Now there’s an official New Jersey Pizza Trail, which makes for a great off-site activity if you’re meeting in the state, or a terrific way to get to know your colleagues, if you choose a different place to network over a pie each month. The trail has 10 different pizza stops, from the third-generation De Lorenzo's Tomato Pies in Robbinsville to Asbury Park’s Talula's, where everything is baked, pickled, and fermented in house, vegan options abound, and you can enjoy a Gin & Jam cocktail with your Holy Shitake white pie or Margie, Talula’s version of the classic margherita pie.

"New Jersey is proud of its rich agricultural history, and tomatoes have always played a big role in Jersey Fresh produce from June through October's harvest," Jeff Vasser, the executive director of the New Jersey division of travel and tourism, told Food & Wine. "As the third largest producer of tomatoes in the entire country, this key pizza-making ingredient not only sets New Jersey's classic 'tomato pies' apart from any ordinary pizza, but also sets our restaurants apart, too: the trail is a quick and easy guide for any pizza enthusiast to find the best slice anywhere they may roam in New Jersey."

Cambria Hotels—an upscale brand franchised by Choice Hotels International Inc.—introduced the Cambria Hotels Threads Collection, a new product offering that further elevates the brand’s commitment to creating a sense of place in each Cambria hotel. Leveraging the creativity of community artists from across the country, the first edition of the Threads Collection features three exclusively designed pairs of socks inspired by the surroundings of Cambria hotels in New England, South Carolina, and Arizona.

(Almost) season’s greetings! It’s the time of year when we’re all thinking of ways to celebrate the holidays—whether that means arranging a gathering for groups or planning an activity to show your appreciation to your team and clients. New York, always a magical holiday destination, has a host of ways to get into the holiday spirit, with iconic performances and events. Here are some ideas:

If you’re looking for signs that people are ready to travel again, look no farther than the Javits Convention Center in New York City. In late January 2023, the convention center will be hosting two key travel events. First up, on Jan. 25-26, will be TravMedia's International Media Marketplace (IMM), a global networking event. Then, on the weekend of Jan. 28-29, New York Travel & Adventure Show will move into the convention center.
