According to an article titled "How Millennials Could Upend Wall Street and Corporate America" by Morley Winograd and Dr. Michael Hais, by 2020, millennials will comprise more than one of three adult Americans, and by 2025 they will make up as much as 75 percent of the workforce. What does that mean for corporate planners? They will have to evolve the way they plan corporate events from boomers and Gen X’ers to millennials or face having an event that will become a social disaster!

The Frog and The Peach Wins Award; Read on to See How You Can Win Too!

The Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick was honored by The Garden State Culinary Arts Awards on May 7 with the prize for “Best Restaurant in New Jersey.”

Modeled after the James Beard awards, these are state’s first juried food awards. Nominations were sought from the public, and then the GSCAA executive committee, consisting of food writers around the state, named ten nominees in 13 categories.

Brewing Up Fun with Tuckahoe Tours

Brewing together for pure pleasure since 2006, four guys (Tim Hanna, Matt McDevitt, Chris Konicki and Jim McAfee) finally made their dream a reality in 2011 by opening Tuckahoe Brewing Company. Located in Egg Harbor, Tuckahoe offers tours, private parties and sample tastings of their flavorful on-tap beers. Currently, Tuckahoe has 16 different beers in their tasting room that come in various sizes: 4-ounce pours, 10-ounce goblets and 16-ounce pints.

Signature Drink: Vizcaya

Maritime Parc, located at the marina at Liberty State Park in Jersey City, is well known for its stunning views of Manhattan and its elegant food, but its cocktail list is really worth perusing. These drinks aren’t just delicious—most of the specialty cocktails are inspired by and named for famous shipwrecks off the coast of New Jersey or New York.

The Spanish steamer Vizcaya was headed for Havana on Nov. 1, 1890, when it collided with a coal schooner, Cornelius Hargrave. The wreck is located off the coast of New Jersey about 25 miles south of the Manasquan inlet.

Suasion Communications Wins New Jersey Tourism Excellence for the Third Time

Suasion Communications Group, located in Somers Point, NJ, was awarded a 2017 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award in March for its successful public relations campaign promoting downtown Haddonfield, NJ. This is the third consecutive year Suasion has received an award from the New Jersey Travel Industry Association.

Borgata Welcomes Newest Restaurant

Borgata is already known for their collection of gourmet restaurants by some of the most well-known chefs in the business, and now they’ve added a brand-new one to their portfolio. Angeline in Atlantic City opened in early May and delivers Michael Symon’s take on Italian cooking. Symon is an Iron Chef, won a prestigious James Beard award and is a co-host on The Chew. Named for his mother, Angeline features family recipes including her own Sunday auce.
