If you haven’t visited Stryxe in Madison yet, it may be time. This facility opened in February 2016 and features a one-stop shop for venue rental space, team-buildings, get-togethers and more. Groups as small as 10 and as large as 500 are equally at home in this space where 12,000 square feet of gathering space includes three private rooms. And for fun? Well, Stryxe has 20 state-of-the-art bowling lanes, plus 31 amusement and parlor games. Gourmet gastropub-style eating is part of the experience.
To celebrate the New Year, Residence Inn by Marriott in West Orange, N.J., will offer three group-geared packages to peak interest in booking a meeting or wedding block at the hotel. The first package, the Meet and Thrive package, offers a 5 percent room rate discount for groups of 10 or more rooms. This package also includes 2,000 additional Marriott Reward Points and a complimentary AM/PM Coffee Break. The Meet and Thrive package is offered from Jan. 1, 2017 through Dec. 31, 2017.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa has become the newest member of the Associated Luxury Hotels International. The Atlantic City hotel has been owned and operated by MGM Resorts International since August. The 2,800-room hotel is ALHI’s first member hotel located in New Jersey.
Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa features 2,800 guest rooms and 88,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The Event Center has room for a banquet and flexible meeting space. The Music Box has a stage and stadium that can seat up to 1,000 guests.
Megan Buzzetta is no stranger to the meetings and events industry. She started her company Global Planners, Inc. in 2000 and now has grown to 30 employees. Global Planners specializes in full-service and ancillary corporate meeting and conference planning services, but when the economy collapsed in 2010 it was Buzz Registration, a slice of the business, that kept them afloat.

MPI WEC’s Atlantic City arrival began with a bang at the Opening Night Celebration on the sand. It was a beach party to remember (the flip-flops at the entrance were a definite hit with the heel-wearing female attendees!) A few nights later, Train’s concert at WAV Nightclub was a hit.
The latest entertainment venue to hit Tropicana in Atlantic City, N.J., 10 North Lounge, is now offering live music every Thursday. Pianist and vocalist Darin MacDonald will be performing every Thursday from 6–10 p.m.
MacDonald has performed all over the world including in hotels in Singapore and Osaka, Japan. He’s also performed on Carnival Cruise Lines throughout the Caribbean. His style is versatile, ranging from acoustic pop to rock-n-roll. The New Zealand native loves to keep the crowd entertained.
Radisson, a world-renowned hotel brand, has partnered with The Claridge Hotel in Atlantic City. Now known as The Claridge—A Radisson Hotel, the hotel was built in 1930; the 24-story hotel was known as the Skyscraper by the Sea and is a landmark reminiscent of the Jazz Age.
Williamstown, N.J., has launched a new website to inform people—from residents to developers—about the town. The site (growwithwilliamstown.com) reflects the latest branding and logo for the suburb.
“This new website showcases the growth and prosperity of our town,” says Mayor Daniel P. Teefy. “The main navigational sections of the site outline who we are, where we are and what incentives are offered to ease the new business process here in Williamstown.”
