On Aug. 24, the Crowne Plaza Princeton, N.J., debuted the Lakeside Terrace a new wedding venue that resides on the property.

The venue went under a five-month, $1 million renovation and features a ballroom with modern decor and windows allow for natural light and overlook the lake. Conveniently, it offers both indoor and outdoor ceremonies and receptions. On-site planners can help coordinate all events.

The Crowne Plaza Princeton is managed by an operating affiliate of GF Management, a hospitality ownership and management company based in Philadelphia with hotels across the country.

Doreen Guerin grew up an Air Force brat, living in Texas, Louisiana, and later England and France. When she was 13, her parents moved to Queens and, Guerin says, “I’m a New Yorker through and through.” That’s apparent from her accent as well as her dedication to the Javits Center, where, as the senior vice president of sales and marketing, she oversees the booking and event-related operations for more than 170 events each year.
