• New York Bowery Hotel Opens Rooftop Bar

citizenM, a pioneer of affordable luxury hotels, has announced the opening of its new rooftop bar and lounge, cloudM. Spanning the entire 21st floor of the citizenM New York Bowery hotel in Lower Manhattan, cloudM features an outdoor terrace and indoor deck with 360-degree views of New York.

A quirky menu at cloudM includes select spirits, beers, wines and mocktails. An extensive cocktail list specially curated for the Bowery property includes with ingredients like makrut leaf-infused Bombay Sapphire, Buddha’s Hands Limoncello, lemongrass, centella asiatica soda and watermelon wine. Light bites, offering takes on playful comfort foods with an element of surprise, are also served at the bar.

Each month, cloudM will host a variety of events, including Music Mondays with performances from different local artists, Creative Wednesdays with inspirational talks and workshops, and Tasting Thursdays, where different Lower East Side chefs will prepare small bites for bar guests. 

Designed by Amsterdam-based firm concrete, a long-time partner of citizenM, the bar features floor-to-ceiling windows, oversized chandeliers, and colorful Vitra chairs and couches. Above the bar area is a a dramatic rendering of the view, painted by Jonathan ‘Meres One’ Cohen – the New York-based lead artist of 5 Pointz creates – featuring a dynamic display of his well-known wild tags and layering technique.

cloudM will remain open throughout the year, and is accessible to both hotel guests and the general public.

The Howard Johnson by Wyndham Portsmouth was recently recognized with a “Best of Award” from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. The newly renovated hotel in Portsmouth is managed by Olympia Hotel Management. 

 

The Langham, New York, Fifth Avenue is celebrating Earth Month with green meeting and event initiatives as part of its CONNECT Conferences program. EarthCheck Silver certified, The Langham will be focusing on being green from within and educating meeting attendees on environmental consciousness.

 

Ames Boston Hotel is giving visitors a custom experience of Beantown with "Find Your Boston" initiative. The program, which started last year, offers different curated experiences for each season.
