Great American Outdoor Show Gave Economic Boost to Harrisburg

As predicted, the 2015 Great American Outdoor Show made a more than $70-million economic impact on the Hershey Harrisburg Region.

This year, the show, which took place Feb. 7–15 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg, brought an estimated $73 million to the area—a 4 percent increase from last year.

HHRVB Predicts Positive Economic Results

The Hershey Harrisburg Regional Visitors Bureau recently announced they are estimating the Second Annual Great American Outdoor Show will bring in around $75 million economic impact for the month of February.

An official report will not be released on the show’s economic impact—which took place Feb. 7–15—for several weeks until they compile results from lodging partners, venue officials and the show producer.

Last year, the Great American Outdoor Show generated $70 million for the region.

Great American Outdoor Show Expands in PA

The 2015 Great American Outdoor Show—sponsored by the National Rifle Association and taking place Feb. 7–15 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Penn.—will debut interactive events and competitions in addition to its 1,000-plus hunting, fishing and outdoor sports exhibitors.

Among the newest features is the Family Fun Zone, a kid-friendly area that will be open every day with camouflage painting, magnetic fishing, barrel racing and more.
