What does that mean for corporate planners? They will have to evolve the way they plan corporate events from boomers and Gen X’ers to millennials or face having an event that will become a social disaster!

In case you haven’t heard the news, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in the Pocono Mountains is about to complete Phase II of the resort, which means it will soon be home to America’s Largest Indoor Waterpark. Upon completion, the true 220,000-square-foot waterpark expansion will include the following additions:

* Screaming Hyena slide featuring a trap-door start that drops you into a near-vertical plunge at up to 25 miles per hour
Natirar, a 35,000-square-foot mansion located in New Jersey’s Somerset Hills, is undergoing renovations and expansion. The project is expected to be completed in June 2017 and will feature a complete restoration and a brand-new grand ballroom.
Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation and the Steamboat Grand Hotel has hired Jennifer Shea as their new sales director. In her new role, Shea will create and implement strategies for local, regional and national channels for tour operators, wholesalers, travel agents, properties and campaigns. She will also be in charge of pricing and products, overseeing conference programs and managing the sales team.
Effective Dec. 1, Eden Resorts & Suites will cease to operate as a Best Western Premier brand and operate independently. This will allow them to enhance the local experience without having to adhere to generic nationwide protocols.
The Lancaster, Pa.-based hotel announced this after completing a 10-year renovation that cost $50 million. The hotel features 300 rooms and suites, two award-winning restaurants, a cocktail lounge, indoor and outdoor pools, and an outdoor recreation complex and expanded fitness center.
