• POLE POSITION RACEWAY CELEBRATES FIRST EVER NEW YORK CITY EPRIX WITH VIEWING PARTIES, EXPERIENCES AND PRIZES

Pole Position Raceway is partnering with The FIA Formula E Championship to celebrate the New York City ePrix, the first FIA-sanctioned motorsports event to take place in any of the five boroughs of New York City in modern history. In advance of the historic ePrix event occurring July 15 – 16, Pole Position Raceway will host free viewing parties of the international Formula E races/

The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal will host the 1.21-mile circuit, which is comprised of ten turns running along Pier 11 on Buttermilk Bay in the neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn, and will feature stunning views of the iconic Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.

Starting on Saturday, April 1 in Jersey City, fans can get in on the action by attending the viewing parties and will have the opportunity to win prizes and exclusive experiences money can’t buy to the New York City ePrix. Super fans can compete to become the Pole Position Raceway Series Winner by accumulating the most points by attending every viewing party at Pole Position Raceway’s designated venues from 4:00 – 7:00pm and putting up their fastest lap on its quarter-mile race tracks during each viewing party for the chance to win a star prize including; a private garage tour, fast track at the drivers autograph session and free grandstand tickets. The top six participants of the series will receive tickets to compete in racing simulators at the Allianz eVillage in Red Hook, Brooklyn on July 15 and 16. Attendants of the viewing parties that purchase a Pole Position Raceway race will receive 50 percent off one race as well as one free soda or Monster Energy drink.

* May 20 – Paris ePrix (Jersey City)

Qualifying begins at 4:30 pm ET, followed by the main race from 5:30 – 7:00pm ET.

At the end of 2017, the NYC & Company 17th Annual Visionaries & Voices Gala was held at the Ziegfeld Ballroom in New York City. The annual event celebrates iconic individuals and institutions that embody the vibrancy and vitality of New York City. The 2017 event honored “The Greatest Showman,” a new film from 20th Century Fox; SPE Partners and the new National Geographic Encounter: Ocean Odyssey; and the NFL and Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group for the new NFL Experience Times Square.

 

MPI Greater New York held its 32nd Annual Auction & Mixology Madness on Nov. 7, 2017. The event was held at the PlayStation Theater in Times Square. Despite the downpour, crowds came out to sip and sample from seven vendors competing for the best cocktail as well as bid on a wide variety of silent auction items ranging from gift baskets to hotel stays. Northeast Meetings + Events was a competitor and featured a cocktail blending apple cider, vodka and Fireball for a fiery kick. 

 

New Jersey Meeting + Events magazine (now Northeast M+E!) held its second annual readers’ choice awards on Aug. 16, 2017 at MetLife Stadium. The evening began with a networking cocktail hour before the awards ceremony, emceed by Matt Holt of Arena Americas, began. Editor’s Picks were announced by editor Nancy DePalma before the readers’ choice award winners were announced by category.
