Michelle Feitshans was recently hired as the catering and events sales manager of Craddock Terry Hotel.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?  

I'm excited to work in this amazing and historical property which has so many unique features that really sets it apart from other properties.

2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role? 

During my prior experience working as a convention service manager in Orlando, I managed 150,000 square feet of meeting space which turned out to be great training for my overall career. When you service events of this size, you learn to stay calm and pay attention to every single detail to ensure its perfect execution. Whether handling large groups with a professional planner or smaller groups with non-professional, it’s important to know what works and how to make the best recommendations to your clients.    

3. How did you get into the industry? 

While I was in college I did an internship at Walt Disney World.  It was then that I fell in love with the hospitality industry.    

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?  

I’m hoping to help maintain the great reputation for high quality and service that the Craddock Terry is known for and the goal is to continually expand our wedding business.

5. What do you enjoy most about the industry? 

I enjoy the team work and building client relationships. You have the ability to meet and work with so many different people.
