• A Sprawling New Outdoor Restaurant Opens in Philly

    POSTED June 6, 2022

Looking for an outdoor venue to host a large group for dinner?

Liberty Point has you covered. Set on the Delaware River Waterfront, adjacent to the Independence Seaport Museum, the newly opened indoor-outdoor 28,000-square-foot restaurant features three main levels, plus smaller sub-levels; five bars; a live music stage, and unobstructed views of the Delaware River. With a capacity of 1,400 guests, Liberty Point has the distinction of being the largest outdoor restaurant in Philadelphia, and offers a wide variety of private and semi-private spaces for groups as small as 10 and all the way to 1,400 attendees with a full buyout.

The new restaurant is the latest from FCM Hospitality, a Philadelphia-based hospitality and entertainment company that also operates such well-known spots as Morgan’s Pier, Harper’s Garden, the Dolphin Tavern, Lola’s Garden, and many others.  FCM owner Avram Hornik says Liberty Point has been long in the making. "For 5 years I've been working with the management of the Independence Seaport Museum to develop a concept that would utilize the amazing river views from their large outdoor decks. The restaurant was scheduled to open in spring of 2021 but was delayed due to covid. We are thrilled to take things to the next level for outdoor, riverfront dining in Philadelphia."

Sheraton Dallas Hotel has introduced a new outdoor event space under its new event programming, Dare to Outdoors. The hotel’s catering team has partnered with Pacific Plaza Park, a 3.7-acre green space in Downtown Dallas. The park features a 31,950 square-foot lawn space and permanent seating, as well as night-sky friendly lights for star-watchers. Three food truck power outlets are available and standard outlets are located throughout the park.

In 1927, Hilton Hotels’ founder Conrad Hilton said, "Abilene, Texas, will be well prepared to handle large conventions and please the most fastidious visitor." Nearly 95 years later, Abilene has fulfilled this vision and is excited to welcome back the Hilton family of hotels in the heart of downtown Abilene with a recently announced DoubleTree by Hilton.
