TripAdvisor Honors Wildwoods with a Host of Awards

TripAdvisor awarded Certificates of Hospitality in 2015 to the Wildwoods Convention Center and the Wildwoods Boardwalk.

The travel website hands out the certificates to hospitality organizations that continue to attain outstanding traveler reviews. Customers give the convention center and the boardwalk stellar reviews, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Of note, TripAdvisor also named the Wildwoods the overall U.S. winner in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice Destinations on the Rise awards for 2015. These awards give recognition to 52 areas around the world that have garnered the greatest positive feedback and interest on the website year-over-year. Ten destinations were named to the list, with the Wildwoods boasting the top spot.

“It is a tremendous honor to be recognized with Certificates of Excellence in Hospitality for both the Wildwoods Convention Center and boardwalk by TripAdvisor; recognition which further validates their naming us as the No. 1 Destination on the Rise,” says John Siciliano, executive director, Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority. “Everyone here works tirelessly to make the Wildwoods one of the country’s most popular family vacation destinations, and we are grateful that our work is paying off for our visitors, who then share their positive experiences online to encourage others to come make similar memories with their families.”

Hotel Pennsylvania is one step closer to the completion of its top-to-bottom transformation. The historic New York marvel revealed 230 redesigned rooms incorporating modern comforts with original features. In celebration of its 100-year anniversary, phase two of three seamlessly represents an evolution of its renowned history.

 

Visit Bucks County (VBC) hosted its annual Event Venue Show, an exclusive meeting planner event, at the Michener Art Museum on Sep. 19. The event showcased 45 exhibitors from local Bucks County venues and businesses to 100 meeting and event planners from the Eastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey and New York region.

 

North of Philadelphia, Bucks County is celebrating their record-breaking amount of visitors.  

In 2018, the county welcomed 8.15 million visitors, an increase of 1.6 percent from 2017 and achieved a record-breaking $1.1 billion in total economic impact. With such numbers, the hospitality industry is taking full advantage.  

As Bucks County tourist status rises, for the travelers who are searching for a local experience, Bucks County is filled with breweries, independent restaurants, and hidden gems to visit.
