Overseas Visitors Flock to Philly

In 2014, Philadelphia saw a substantial uptick in the amount of time overseas travelers stayed in the city.

Specifically, these visitors who stayed overnight in the Philadelphia region, increased by 14.2 percent from 2013. Average visitor spend also increased by 10 percent, generating $578 million for the local economy.

Discover Lehigh Valley Launches Television Channel

Those looking for activities and areas to explore in the Lehigh and Northampton counties can now simply turn on their television instead of combing the Web for ideas.

Discover Lehigh Valley, the destination marketing organization for the area, partnered with RCN and Service Electric television stations to give viewers a taste of the Lehigh Valley area on Channel 189.

The Wildswoods Snags Ad Award

The New Jersey Tourism Industry Association awarded the Greater Wildwoods Tourism Improvement and Development Authority with the 2015 New Jersey Tourism Excellence Award at this year’s New Jersey Conference on Tourism.

“The Wildwoods are richly deserving of this prestigious award,” says Sharon Franz, president, NJTIA. “The Wildwoods’ innovative campaigns continue to draw millions of visitors, which, in turn, contributes greatly to the economic prosperity of the great state.”

Atlantic City Expecting a Flock of Visitors

More than 50,000 guests are expected to visit Atlantic City this week due to two popular events taking place in the area.  

Both events are bringing in a large amount of people with 50,000 slated for the Progressive Atlantic City Boat Show at the Atlantic City Convention Center and 15,000 for the Battle at the Boardwalk National cheerleading competition at Boardwalk Hall.
